MINI DRUGSTORE HAUL

I picked up some beauty products from Boots and Superdrug which I have had for the past 2 weeks now. I've been very excited about each of these product and I have had some time to try them out for myself. Here's a little haul of all the goodies that I bought and I will include my first impressions of each product below.

Batiste XXL Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is essential to me. I normally wash my hair twice a week therefore in between washes if my hair is looking a tad greasy, I always must spray some dry shampoo in my roots to help it become more manageable and to not look as dirty. As most of you will know, Batiste Dry Shampoo comes in a variety of different scents and formulas - I normally use the tropical one as I love how it makes my hair smell however I decided to go for a different one this time. The XXL Dry Shampoo claims to give your hair a lot of volume and bounce to it and I feel that it does exactly that. I found that this product left slightly a bit more white residue than the others however I can easily get rid of it by brushing my hair out. I simply spray this into the roots and rub it in with my fingers, it creates just the right amount of volume to my hair without having to tease it with a comb.

Collection Gorgeous Glow Highlighter/Blush
I'm still trying to work out how to use this product for my skin. It's a shimmering highlighter palette but the instructions on Collection's website tells you to apply onto your cheeks like a blush, so I'm guessing you could either use this product as both a highlighter and a blush. When I first bought this product, I mainly used it as a highlight and I fell in love with the colour, it's a gorgeous champagne pink colour and gives your face a natural glow. The only downside to this product is that it doesn't last long at all. I would apply it to my face and then it would've completely rubbed off within a few hours therefore I do find myself re-applying this product a few times throughout the day. I haven't used this as a blush yet but I am definitely going to give that a try soon.

Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo in Creamy Beige
I am completely obsessed with Maybelline Colour Tattoo's. I now have 6 shades and Creamy Beige is the one that I have been using on an everyday basis recently. It's a matte finish and just looks beautiful on the eyelids when blended out. What I love most about the colour tattoo's is how long lasting they are, they literally stay on my eyelids throughout the whole day and I never find any creasing with them which is always a bonus. You can use this colour on its own and blend it out with a brush or you could use it as a base to put eye shadows on over the top. It's also a good dupe of the MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork!

L'Oreal Superliner Black Lacquer
As my favourite Rimmel eyeliner was coming to an end, I thought I needed to be a bit adventurous and buy myself a completely different branded eyeliner. One of my work friends recommended the L'Oreal Superliner so I picked it up straight away. This product is highly pigmented that just one coat of this would be enough for one eye. I find the applicator really easy to use however I find that if I do a thick winged out look then I sometimes end up with black smudges on my eyelids by the end of the day which is a disappointment. I then tried doing a really thin line and a thin winged look and it didn't smudge at all so maybe this isn't the sort of eyeliner to use if you're into the thick line look.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation
I'm a bit of a foundation lover therefore I'm always buying loads of different foundations even if I don't need them. I've heard a lot of great things about L'Oreal's Lumi Magique foundation before that I just really wanted to see what it was all about. The foundation is enhanced with a light infusing technology which is supposed to make your skin look healthy and glowy. I usually like a more matte finish when it comes to foundations however I did like the finish that it gave my skin, it looked very healthy and gave it such a beautiful natural glow that made my skin look less dull. I'd say it's more of a medium coverage and with some translucent powder on top, it lasted me throughout the day. I'm not too sure about the shade range though, it took me quite a while to find a shade that suited my skin type, all the shades were either too dark or too light. In the end I went with Rose Pearl which was the closest one to my natural skin tone.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
This is actually my second tube of this mascara. I have been using this mascara non-stop for the past month that when I ran out of it, I immediately had to buy another one. It works well with my lashes and really helps to lift and curl them, giving them a lot more volume and thickness. I especially like using this mascara on my bottom lashes as it makes them look incredible. There's not really much to say about this product other than the fact that it's amazing and I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a good mascara.
