2 Little Ways to Make The Most Out of Each Day

One of the most important things I’ve learnt throughout my lifetime is to live each day happily and to always make the most out of every single day. Life is short and you only get to live it once, so what’s the point in living it with sadness or by being non-productive?

Here are 2 simple steps you can take to make the most out of every day.

Let’s be honest here, I do not consider myself as a ‘morning person’ as I appreciate my sleep too much. Although saying that, since starting my full time job I’ve had no other choice than to get up at 6:30am each day which is slightly annoying as my body now has its own wake up cycle and likes to automatically wake me up early on my days off, but all in all it has done wonders to me. The night before, I like to have some sort of planning going on whether that’s prepping a breakfast/lunch or laying out my work clothes for the next day, as well as mentally telling myself that I WILL get up at 6:30.

I’m trying my hardest to not use my phone as much before bed, as I end up getting distracted and having my phone on me will keep my brain productive hence keeping me up for longer, instead I like to put my alarm on and my phone on my bedside table as far away from me as possible. In the mornings, I’m also trying not to press that snooze button every time as I’ve read that it can actually re-start your sleep cycle making you feel sleepy for longer. Waking up early will help you to feel great about the rest of your day and you can get a lot more stuff done.

As well as the day to day requirements of living life in general, we also have hopes, dreams and goals. Apart from all the basic daily stuff, each and every one of us has some sort of hobby (i hope because hobbies are great). Each day I think it’s very important to do at least one thing that we love doing and that for me is: scrapbooking.

I have a passion and a new found love for scrapbooking, it’s super therapeutic and it’s also something that I’d love to complete and look back on all the memories I’ve had over the years. Each evening, if I have time and if I’m not too tired – I will sit down and do a whole scrapbook page. It passes the time well but most importantly, it makes me happy and I always without a doubt feel good afterwards.

I guess what I'm trying to get across in this post is, I used to slumber around most days (particularly on days off) and feel sorry for myself when actually, the secret of being happy is about accepting where you are in life and making the most out of everyday. Waking up to see another day is awesome, so let's not take it for granted.
Do you have any tips to make the most out of your day?
